Gutted Precats 93 owners, 0 comments Also known as the "Mystery Mod" this mod removes the catalitic material from our exhaust manifolds. The "precats" are mainly used to help with cold start emmissions but are not needed once your main catalitic converter comes up to temprature. You should have no problems with emission testing, but this modifcation is illegal. If you do get caught you could face fines up to $50,000, but the likely hood of this happening is very, very slim. For about the same power gains as headers but without the huge pricetag, the best part of this mod is the price, how does FREE sound to you. Check out the howto here. |

These headers are made for Duratec V6 2.5L engines and come with y-pipes. Depending on the production year of your car, you may need MIL eliminators in order to have your car run properly after install. |
